“I have always been all or nothing, super competitive personality”
Growing up in a close family in the inner west of Sydney, Jeremy chose to follow the long line of family dentists and enter the industry himself!
Dr Jeremy Lung received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2010; he also holds a Master of Arts in Christian Studies. Dr Lung is one of those few people who genuinely loves his job, he is extremely passionate about all aspects of dentistry but has a special interest in complex cases.
“Recreating something out of nothing is very satisfying,” he says. “In fact, most nights I’m reading about implants in bed, because I enjoy it so much.”
Dr Jeremy Lung is constantly learning and studying more complex surgical aspects of dentistry and implant therapy to ensure that he can provide the most up-to-date techniques and procedures.
Dr Jeremy Lung began doing dentistry missions in Papua New Guinea with a mission bass in Townsville. They were a smaller organisation when Jeremy joined the crew and all they had was a hundred-year-old Japanese fishing vessel. Picture a worn down, rusting, vessel with low ceilings and diesel engine. That’s where the whirlwind romance begins.
On the bow of the ship, Jeremy encountered a nursing graduate from Seattle. The rest is history.
“We were just crazy in love.”
Dr Lung had always been an active cyclist but in 2019 Jeremy was involved in a life-threatening accident that changed his life forever. The recovery process is still an ongoing part of Jeremy’s life and has certainly presented a new set of challenges. For many, an accident of this caliber would have halted many aspects of life and career. However, the drive and commitment that has followed the accident is what pushes Dr Lung forward and is what truly inspires our team!
